How to donate to the Red Cross

The Red cross is a non-profit organization not part of nor funded by the government. Throughout the year we hold fund raisers in order to supplement our budget. The funds from these events go toward much needed supplies and reciprocal events such as our Volunteer Appreciation Dinner. Volunteers are the backbone of the Red Cross. Most of what is accomplished by the organization is done by volunteers and a few paid staff. Bring your check or money order made out to "American Red Cross" to either the Red Cross on Camp Foster or Kadena AB. We appreciate your support.

• Your Time
• Gifts/Prizes
• Your Knowledge/Expertise

Types Of Donations We Cannot accept:

• Can Foods
• Clothing
• Vehicles
• Blood (see ASBP)

The Camp Foster American Red cross is a non-profit organization whose primary focus is to Prevent, Prepare for and Respond to emergencies. In the event of an emergency, critical accident, illness or death in a service member's immediate family, the Red Cross should be called at once. If you need to initiate a Red Cross message from Okinawa, just follow the instruction on the "Service To The Armed Forces" (SAF) page. Other types of donations are always helpful, however, they are not handled quite the same as in the states. Most major relief supplies for local disasters are handled by the military.
